National Doctor’s Day is celebrated on July 1, in India, to mark the respect and honour the great, renowned physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. He was the 2nd CM of West Bengal also. This year the children of Std. II to V enacted a small skit on the stage in the school assembly. The message given by the children is to recall the importance & role of the Doctors in the society and to remember their dedication and hard work to save the life of the people. On this occasion, the Chairman – Shri Jagadish Kalyanshettar, the school Head mistress Mrs. Smita Vernekar, all the staff members and students were present.
Mrs. Sampada.B.K was the chief guest for std II.

As per the theme “Yoga for Humanity”, 8th International Yoga Day was celebrated along with “International Music Day” in J. K. School by sports club and Music club students. P. E. teachers of our school Mahantesh Hosamani Sir and Geeta Naduvinmath teacher taught Suryanamaskar, Trikonasana, Padmasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, Vajrasana, Wakrsana, Uttanpadasana etc with Pranayam. Music teachers Gangu Haidale teacher and Shantayya Hiremath Sir sang songs related to yoga and students of std II, III and IV sang different ragas and teachers explained about ragas. The entire program was for about 45minutes and was arranged in assembly. School headmistress Mrs. Smita Vernekar said that Yoga provides mental & physical strength. It enables us to live a healthy life and help to create overall harmony of body and mind. She advised the students to practice yoga daily to stay fit and healthy. On this occasion, the chairman of J K Education Society Shri Jagadish Kalyanshettar was present and appreciated the students for their active participation in Yoga and Music..

We had the opportunity to honour Salumarada Timakka, the Indian environmentalist of Karnataka who visited Hubballi on 29th August to view the 150 plants planted by Vasundhara Foundation
HEALTH & HYGIENE DAY
The Chota Cop Project by young India Hubli/Dharwad was conducted on 27.01.2023 as a mark of Road Safety month from 15th Jan to 15th Feb. Students where told awareness about abiding by traffic rules and how important it is.

Stars of our school who have brought glory to our school by winning prizes in Skating competition arranged by Karnataka Roller Skating Association in Shimoga.The Winners are as follows:-

2.Shreya Sadrulla of Std V has backed I prize in 2 competiton.( 2 Gold)
3.Tafez Kerur of Std V has backed I & II prize. (Gold & Silver)
"HINDI DIWAS" Celebration on 14th September. On account of this day Hindi Poem Recitation Competition was held in the School.
"INVESTITURE CEREMONY 22-23"
“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life”. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a school cabinet was formed at J K English Medium Primary school and the Investiture ceremony was held on 09/07/2022 at our school.
Shri S K Janglappagoudar, Rtd. Principal, Shankar College, Navalagund was the Chief Guest of the function. Pipping of the badges to the ministers was done by the Chief Guest and the Chairman Shri Jagadish Kalyanshettar of J K Education society. In his address, the Chief Guest Shri S K Jangalappagoud appreciated the efforts by the school for providing opportunities to the students to take part in activities like these. He congratulated the school cabinet members.
In Presidential remark, the Chairman Shri Jagadish Kalyanshettar, congratulated the newly appointed school cabinet members and thanked the guest for his valuable advice given to the students. He guided the students to be a role model and b a good citizen.
The Headmistress advised the cabinet members to follow their duties and maintain discipline in the school campus. Lastly Mrs. Sajida Mulla teacher proposed vote of thanks and the programme concluded by singing the National song.

* In the assembly children arranged pick and act game for teachers.All the teachers participated enthusiastically & enjoyed the game.
*The teachers who rendered their service for 10 years or more were honoured by our honourable chairman Shri Jagadish Kalayanshettar Sir and teachers expressed their gratitude.
*Games were arranged by the management for all the teaching & non teaching staff & the winners were given prizes
* Programme was addressed by the chairman with his Valuable words.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY was celebrated on 29th August .The birth Aniversary of the great hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand...on this occasion students of std 5th enacted the role of great sports personalities in different sports .
