KARNATAKA RAJYOTSAVA WAS CELEBRATED ON 01/11/2020. Folk songs and Nadageete  singing competition was conducted for students from home. 

On account of Health & Hygiene Day talk on "Cleanliness and Good Food Habits"  was arranged for students. 

On account of " Gandhi Jayanthi " drawing activity was conducted
for the students of STD I/II . We are proud of our little stars  who actively participated.

J K school organized “National Sports Day”  -  birth anniversary of  the renowned Hockey player Shri Dhanyachand    along with fit India movement.

The school children demonstrated skit on Dhayanchand. Olympic flag was hoisted on this occasion by the chairman Shri Jagadish Kalyanshettar & Headmistress Mrs. Smita Vernekar.

The program was well organized by P.E. teacher Mrs. Geeta Naduvinmath and Mr. Mahantesh Hosamani. Mr. Mahantesh Hosamani explained about the achievement of Shri  Dhyanchand  to the students. 

J. K. English Medium School’s Primary section conducted Annual Prize Distribution ceremony on 18th January 2020 at its premises. Shri G. L. Sattennavar,  Incharge  Headmaster, Govt,  School, Sai Nagar, was the chief guest on this occasion.  He advised students to respect parents and advised teachers to be a role model to their students as students obey teachers first. Parents should not pressurize the child only for studies, they should also give importance to sports and other activities.

The Management & Staff of J K English Medium School congratulate Miss. Shrusti Habib of Std. V for being honoured by "Saptaswara Sangeeta Kala Balaga (R) Belagavi, for her achievement in Music on the occasion of Shivaratri function at Yadahalli. She is given the title as "Mari Kogile".

National Science Day was observed in school on 28/02/2020. Chart making activity(famous scientists of India) was done by the students.

The great Nationalist & Patriotic leader Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose 125th Birth Anniversary was celebrated  with great enthusiasm at JK school.  Our school teacher Smt. Sharmila Sail dressed as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and said the famous slogans of Netaji. Smt Tabita Bandam explained briefly the biography of  Subhash Chandra Bose.  All the staff paid their tribute to the defiant of  Netaji  Subhash  Chandra Bose. On this occasion, the Chairman  Shri. Jagadish Kalyanshettar, the school Headmistress  Mrs. Smita Vernekar & Pre-Primary Headmistress Mrs. Veena Hiremath and all the staff  members,  students were present.

The great Philanthropist, philosopher, Shri Swamy Vivekanand’s  158th  Birth Anniversary was celebrated  with great devotion  at JK school.
School teacher Smt Navaneeta Hiremath dressed as  Swamy Vivekanand and said the famous slogans and sang the famous song of Swamiji. Smt. Naina Dodamani explained briefly the biography of  Swami Vivekanand.
Later, the school Headmistress Mrs. Smita Vernekar spoke about “The great qualities of  the famous personality. She told children to inculcate in them the qualities of Swami Vivekananda in their day today life. 

 On this occasion, the chairman – Shri Jagadish Kalyanshettar,  the school Head mistress  Mrs. SmitaVernekar, and  all the staff members, students were present. 

J. K. English Medium Pre-Primary & Primary school celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation “Mahatma Gandhiji”, this day is also 115th birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri. Oath on “Swachha Meva Jayate” was taken by the chairman of J. K. Education society Shri Jagadish Kalyanshettar, Headmistresses, staff and students on this occasion. Plastic free India programme was arranged, all the staff as well as children collected plastic waste from the surrounding and it was handed over to corporation. Children enacted various skits related to the life story of Mahatma Gandhi.

CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATED ON 26/11/2019

"World Environment Day" was celebrated virtually on 5th June 2020 by the Students & Staff of J. K. English Medium School. 

"Save Water" Day was celebrated on 20th July 2019. Gurundgoudar Retired Commercial Tax Officer addressed the function. President Gangadhar, Gujamagdi, Secretary Amminbhavi, Mrs. Indra Jadhav of "We Care Foundation" precided over the function. They guided the Children about saving water by showing clippings & short film. On the whole students gained knowledge regarding importance of water & its conservation.

J. K. English Medium Primary School celebrated the 72nd Republic Day in a very unique manner. After hoisting the flag, there was a Parade by the teachers.  Though children were not present on this occasion due to pandemic situation the spirit of teachers and creativity was shown on this occasion. On this occasion, the School Chairman Shri Jagadish Kalyanshettar, Pre Primary head mistress Mrs. Veena Hiremath, Headmistress of Primary school Mrs. Smita Vernekar,  Principal of  Smt. D. K. Public school Mrs. Indira Vijaykumar and all the staff members were present.

On account of  "Ganesh Chaturthi"  Rohit Badiger of Std V did  Ganesh out of Clay.  

Rathasaptami was observed on 1st February at our school. Teachers and P. E. instructors demonstrated "Surya Namaskar"  Importance of Rathasaptami was explained to students and Surya Mantra was also chanted.

Picnic was arranged for I - V std students on 1/12/2019 to "Hill View Resort" .

ACTIVITIES  OF 2019 - 2020

 KLE Technological University conducted "Art Festival KALADEVI - 2020" on 16th February 2020.  Aamir S Naragund of std 3rd bagged  -2nd Prize and Rohit Basava of std IV bagged consolation prize. 

International Women's Day Celebrated in school. Teachers paid tribute to the great personalities by enacting their roles. Such as Savitribai Phule, Kalpana Chawla, P. V. Sindhu, Sudha Murthy,  Lata Mangeshkar, Salumarada Timmakka, Gandhari, Meerabai, Rani Chennamma, Sita, etc.,  Program was inaugurated by planting sapling. 

ACTIVITIES - 2020-2021

Virtual International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21/06/2020

The 20th Annual Gathering 2019-20 of J K English Medium Primary School  was held Today(24-12-2019) at 9:30 am in Sawai Gandharva Hall, Deshpande Nagar, Hubballi.  The Chief Guest of the function was  Mrs. Hema Waghmode(Karnataka Sangeeta Nrutya Academy Member Bangalore, Exponent of Bharatnatyam Choreographer) Shri. Jagadish Kalyanshettar Chairman  of  J. K. Education Society, Mrs. Savita  Kalyanshettar vice chairperson of J. K. Education Soceity, Shri Siddalingeshwar Kalyanshettar Secretary of J. K. Education Society, Shri Basavaraj Kalyanshettar chairman of  Chaitra  Education Society, Primary Headmistress  Mrs. Smita Vernekar, Pre-Primary Headmistress Mrs. Veena Hiremath,   were   present on this occasion.  Addressing the gathering on this occasion the chief guest advised parents to tell mythological stories to the children and not to follow western culture and to teach children our culture.  She was impressed to see folk dances and mythological dramas.  Chairman addressed the gathering and advised parents not to give mobile in children hand as it affects their concentration. Children entertained parents with dances, mythological skits, dramas etc.

124th Birthday of Subhash Candra Bose was celebrated on 23rd January

Dentist Dr. Shwetashree visited our school and addressed  students regarding oral health, proper brushing methods etc. 

HEALTH AND HYGIENE DAY - Favorite "fruit" & "vegetables"drawing activity for std 1st & 2nd was given to do from home.

“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life”.  We celebrated the 73rd Republic Day in a very unique manner. After hoisting the flag, there was Parade by different houses of our school.  Many patriotic songs, dances and speeches on great freedom fighters were presented by children.
Children wore costumes of great personalities and presented their famous slogans very enthusiastically.  Later, school teachers and children sang patriotic songs as a mark of respect to our nation. The Headmistress Mrs. SmitaVernekar in her speech said to children to inculcate leadership and patriotism qualities in their childhood, so that they can become good citizen of our country”. On this occasion, the School Chairman Shri Jagadish Kalyanshettar, Pre Primary head mistress Mrs. Veena Hiremath, Principal of  Smt. D. K. Public school Mrs. Indira Vijaykumar and all the staff members, students, parents were present.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2019

On account of "World Environment Day" various competitions were held for students virtually. Many students took keen interest & exhibited their talent. Following were the competitions. STD I & II : Mask Making (Boys), Crown Making (Girls) The management & staff are proud of the active participation of students. May this enthusiasm remain the same. For 3rd std Tulasi planting, for 4th std paper bag making and for 5th std speech on "Save Trees, Save Earth Please" was arranged.
